There's something really cool about that car pounding the motorways. 

Motorways are busy, therefore lots of other drivers get to see your 1988 piece of history. 

Statistics says that a good proportion of those drivers will see it and get a bit gooey-eyed about the good old days. They'll get a nostalgia hit - and it will make them feel good.

I used to photograph street cars and post - I've largely given up - occasionally I keep something for myself, or take a shot if I want to write something specific - but mostly I respect other people's privacy these days.

The exhaust emissions get tested last and that’s the only part of the process that I fear. Luckily, my Pinto runs sweet and passed with ease.

To be fair, the emissions test for that age of vehicle is pretty much a case of, if it doesn't kill the tester when he puts the probe in the exhaust then you're good🤣 Had the capri pass with a 2.9v6 conversion running a fuel ratio of 9:1 (rather than the 14.3:1 it was meant to be) at idle due to a dodgy sensor making it run full rich and that still passed.
