chodweaver Posted January 16 Posted January 16 They're drop shippers - they look like they hold stock, but they don't - they buy in when they have an order (possibly only when they have enough orders to buy their stock at a wholesale price). If they don't get enough orders along with yours, or their wholesaler has no stock, you'll either get a refund, or a long delay, and then a refund when you chase your order. Annoying, but unfortunately legal, afaik.
tooSavvy Posted January 18 Posted January 18 My 5L arrived *Amazon [with apologies for delay....] Yesterday. 🙄 Marshall2810 1
SiC Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I've opened a case with eBay on not received. I ordered it about a week ago when the last offer code was on. There is a shipping tracking code assigned but it's not left their warehouse yet. Presumably they've over sold and not kept on top of their inventory. Or their packaging staff are working like crazy to get orders out of the door. tooSavvy 1

RobT Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Same problem here after I ordered 20 litres of 10w 40 from them, just got a refund instead. But on reflection I don't need that much as it's only the 940 that uses it, so has done me a favour not turning up. Plus I found 4 litre of the stuff I didn't realise I had! lisbon_road and SiC 2
SiC Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Just had an email to say it was shipped and arriving tomorrow. Ordered 9th Jan.
gm Posted January 24 Posted January 24 still no response from the seller, ebay have just refunded me. great - three weeks wasted waiting for a delivery they had no intention of sending
95 quid Peugeot Posted January 24 Posted January 24 It seems to be all the oil sellers, i ordered 2x 5L of 5w50 for the decent car, that took over a fortnight, normally with me in a couple of days
RoverFolkUs Posted January 24 Author Posted January 24 The times I've previously ordered it before Xmas, it arrived either the next day or following day Be a shame if it's all gone tits up, need to reorder soon!

Better not delay. I've now had my refund from ebay. And bought 4 litres of Dexron III of Amazon from the same company without realising it for £11.92. See if it turns up.

Luckily not too desperate as a trade parts supplier is doing 20L of 5W-30 C3 for £54 at the moment which is much cheaper than the likes of ECP and the other factors. It usually works out at about £45 from Mannol so it's not the end of the world now! ECP had gone upto nearly £95 for 20L before Christmas which was quite frankly a ridiculous increase hence the reliance on Mannol!
RoverFolkUs Posted January 28 Author Posted January 28 This has gone ridiculously cheap again so about to reorder. Hopefully it shows up! VW Longline 5w-30 (C3 spec) is working out at just £40.70/20L with code JANPAY20 And normal fully synthetic 5w-30 (The ford spec) ideal for most non DPF cars that call for 5w-30, particularly 00's petrols) they sent a special offer of £73.99 for 2x 20L, and then with the JANPAY20 coupon that's about £29.60/20L
lisbon_road Posted January 28 Posted January 28 My Amazon order for Mannol Dextron III atf turned up. £11.92 for 4 litres. Euros want £73 for five litres.
95 quid Peugeot Posted January 31 Posted January 31 5w30 still/back on offer with Janpay20. @£38.12 which equates to the nominal 1.90L for 20L tub was ordered Monday, Mrs 95 said it had arrived today
drewd Posted January 31 Posted January 31 The Janpay20 code expires today. I've just ordered 2 x 5 litres of 5w30 C3 and 6 cans of brake cleaner for £29.31. Hopefully it'll arrive in days rather than weeks.
r.welfare Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Ordered 5L of Classic 10W40 on Sunday, delivered today, so quick enough for me. Frustratingly they’re out of stock on my preferred ‘kit’ of VAG long life oil, oil filter and air filter for my Touran which would be a screaming deal (just over 17 quid) with the current discount code.
RoverFolkUs Posted January 31 Author Posted January 31 This is really cheap for 0w-30 C3: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303490883719? ...for those of you running moderns that require it. £53.40/20L
mark165 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I didn't know this thread existed until after I'd ordered some! Placed the order last Saturday for 10w40, gear oil and coolant with carousel. After nothing happening all week, the tracking updated suddenly to say it's in the local depot.I was expecting the worst after reading this thread and seeing their feedback. Hopefully it'll turn up Monday. Sent from my SM-A145R using Tapatalk

However recently they have been really slow. Not sure why but perhaps too many have found them and are overwhelmed with orders when eBay do the 20% promo code. It's annoying but it's decent quality while being so much cheaper that it's worth holding out.
beko1987 Posted February 3 Posted February 3 Just means you need to plan ahead! I'll buy oil for the September change in may/June 👌
BorniteIdentity Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Anybody else end up with two? I ordered and complained. They apologised and tried to blame postal strikes (lol). It arrived around two weeks after ordering. Aaaand again last week too. Extreme value. beko1987 1

It’s LL98, I’ve used it before with no issues in the multiple BMW diesels I’ve owned - I think technically BMW recommends LL04 The fact I tend to use a 5k mile interval means it’s neither here nor there to be honest This is technically the right one https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/303136363917?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=UtC3VvnORl6&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=IaiIXmW2Rkq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY Dick Cheeseburger 1
