I genuinely believe cars peaked in this era, big wafty cars with even bigger v8s and outlandish styling, they just scream the 4 person family consisting of a Husband, Wife, older son and younger daughter and the family dog aka the nuclear family, a time where the biggest breakthrough in consumer electronics was the colour Television and Dad liked to come home from a long day at the office to a dry martini and a Swansons TV dinner, the last days of the old technology before emissions rules and flat boxy styling came in and really killed the jet age cars

What's even crazier to me is the people born in the late 1800s growing up in the old West seeing the world start driving model T's then growing old and seeing cars like this

She's not that easily impressed - ask me how I know ;-)

Thought I was marrying a quiet, home loving lady who was mad about horses. Turns out she's also a bit mad about cars (not fixing them, just driving them). She has a long felt want for an Edsel but would (probably) settle for a baby blue baby like yours. (so long as it has a bench front seat, automatic, column shift)

A pretty low spec for an electra. No radio, manual windows and manual seats but has the 6.6 401 with the torqueflite

The glorious 59 Buick is very closely related to the 59 Chevy; also Oldsmobile and Pontiac.  Ron Howard's car in American Graffiti was actually a 1958 Chevy, but tbf, the same applied throughout the 50s and 60s, and even 70s and 80s.  GM were masters of badge-engineering.  Their 1959-60 generation, in any of the above-mentioned lines, will never be surpassed for pure beauty.

@Weird Car wanna Cresta?

(Not a genuine offer!)

There's a fairly big American car scene in Germany. I bet they'll love this.

I still think that GM did a better job changing the styling than chrylser did in 57/58 with identical side profiles and back ends but slightly different front ends IE Doge Kingsway, Desoto Diplomat, Plymouth Belvedere, that being said i'd have a 57/58 Plymouth over my Buick anyday

There should be an option under your post when using Tapatalk for "Moderate". In that there is an option to delete.
I have never got double posts in Tapatalk but it might be if your phone signal is a bit flaky at times?

It doesn’t work properly, have had probs for a long time but only on this forum. Could be internet too though as that is flaky both sides of the channel.

It's a shame you're so far away.  I'd love to get Baby Blue and WiFeY together for a shoot!
