Off the road and stored since 2005-recently brought out of storage for building work. Has started/ran drove recently in private yard.

Is that a 4 cogger? Love the vomit coloured interior. Remeinds me of when I worked at a Yugo/Dacia main dealers.

Posted

Shame its so far away, Id roll in that.

Posted

I really shouldn't, but I quite like that...The interior is just brilliant!

I saw an F-reg Fiat Ducato van with more moss and rust on it than that driving around today. Get that Yugo Brammy and you could be part of a new scene

Do it. Leicester ain't that far and I'm sure someone would assist. Hell, I do London area > Leicester reasonably often so if its just a case of getting to Leicester then I'm sure something can be arranged

post it on retro rides if you get no luck on here, there was a guy after one not so long back :D

Sure, Id love it but its just the storage problem yet again. I think this time someone with more time for right now is best! I can get away with a car thats MOTed/Taxed but one covered in moss and dirt would piss off people round here something rotten haha.

Posted

Lovin' that interior and I need something to cover up the oil stain on my drive where the Landy used to be... Mrs Skiz would go beserk though.

Posted

Came from 'City garage' I see...When I worked at a Yugo dealer we called it 'Shitty garage' due to amount of people who came to us complaining about them...

All the more reason to get it in my book!

I wish i had a way of getting it home to Gainsborough, been wanting 1 for a while, but finances are very tight at the moment

Posted

That really should be saved/taken on, hope someone from here gets it, it's class.

Your having a laugh ain't you, Liecester too far away?.............. don't move to Scotland then..............every where is too far away then( actaully London is an 8 hour drive in reasonble road conditions 8)

Well its not that far away for someone with a trailer, or a car good for towing! Sadly we have neither, so thus it makes it further away then it actually is. Im all for journeys, but my mum isnt haha.

2nd dibs, after Torsten.I can get it collected in around 7 -10days.

If it's any help to someone thinking of saving this classic piece of Autoshite, I have just cleared a space in the family lock-up, so I'd be happy to store it and tinker for any other autoshiter who wants it but can't accommodate it. The lock-up is in Barnet, so it might help a north Londoner. I could also offer to A frame this car for anyone who wants it moved. PM If I can help-this one's really too good to scrap!

Myself, the owner and the ever helpful Andrew353w have entered into negotiations!

Posted

The deal is done, the Yugo's going underground, thanks Rootes and Andrew!

Nice one Torsten, if this one comes up for sale in the future anytime, I will be interested.

Just "A" framed it back from Leicestershire to south London without any trouble! A great little car, which fired up on the button! As Del Boy would say, "everyone's a winner!" Andrew353w

Here's my new baby! It started on a jump, ran, drove and stopped, a bit shabby around the edges but seemingly pretty solid, charging the battery now and it looks reasonably new then a spruce up followed by an MOT! A nice big thank you to Rootes and Andrew!

AS car of the month? Love it, what on earth did it tow though?

Posted

Glad it went to a good home-It wasnt mine but I did not want to see it scrapped. Any interior pic's?

So today was the day of reckoning, managed to get the horn working (since stopped again) so I took it for an MOT now it's a bit shinier! Ran beautifully until it was time to drive into the MOT bay when it conked out, got it started after a struggle and got it on the ramps. Plenty of peeling underseal but no holes and despite trying very hard to fail it the MOT tester reluctantly said it was a goodun, well, after adjusting the headlamp beam! Very happy! So in the 300 yards back to the dungeon it conked out twice and wouldn't start second time so I shoved it into it's space and wandered off a very happy fella!

Here it is today:

Oh, I got it started again, Easy Start and some fresh petrol, seems okay now but I reckon it needs a nice early Sunday morning thrash to sort it out!

That , frankly, is awesomely shite. Strangely enough I saw a tidy Zastava in Dundee the other day which Im saving for my next spotting thread update. Only bettered in terms of autoshiteness by an FSO Polonez in my book. Good work.

Posted

So in 8 days its gone from near likely tin can fodder to an MOTed wonder. Ace!

Fantastic save. And i take my hat off for the team work 8) - Well Done everyoneDon't forget to sell it to Brammy when you want rid of it !
