300 FAULTS!!! Is that a record? Or is the diagnostic gizmo developed a fault of its own, that must be fun to sort if so.

Presumably, trying to think positively, it could be that no-one has ever cleared any errors ever? Though I do note that the rear spoiler seems to be in the raised state, which isn't a good start... (maybe the car things it's doing 70mph or something? I didn't even know they had a raising rear spoiler!)

Simplest repair option:

1) Remove the entire wiring loom

2) Weigh the loom in as scrap copper

3) Make a new loom from the assorted lengths of wire sat in the biscuit tin at the back of the garage

4) Fit new loom

5) Be amazed as either the car works much better than Citroen could ever have hoped or it bursts into flames

6) Put french flags on the bonnet and drive around like a French ambassador or toast marshmallows

Anyone brave or stupid enough to take on a stricken C6???

CITOREN SPECIALIST HAS DETECTED OVER 300 FAULTS ON DIAGNOSTICS MACHINE
:shock::shock:

Well you're pretty well fucked before you even start then. My record on a Citroen is 28 fault codes.

GR8 project for the amateur auto electrician now that winter's comin... Oh wait.

The reg looks familiar. Did I see this C6 on some other forum after it had an off-road excursion a few months ago?

How the hell did your weird mind spot that?

I do like those NSU's, I would be inclined to remove your postcode from the listing though Michael, You don't want a pikey looking round your yard one night whilst your not there.

But do you really want people to know where it's stored?, I've heard to many horror stories to personally put my full postcode up on ebay.

Will stick my neck out here and say as old Fords go that seems well worth the money. Just got to hope it doesn't sell to some spazmatronn who'll lob a bigger engine it and just piss about with it's originality.

^ Hammer a smaller multiplex over it?

Replace it with the electrical system from a BX 1.4

In fact, it's not even two mins drive from my old house, and M. Imps place. So given a bit of free time tomorrow I'll head over and take a look.

I was thinking along similar lines to philibusmo's list, and just wondering what lump should be dropped in. There ought to be plenty of space for almost anything. So what's wrong with the good old TU 1360cc job? Mine has not missed a beat.

And yes, re-wire the whole car with a length of trailer-board cable and some scotch-blocks. It's sure to be more reliable than the factory noughties Citroen set up.

Range Rover classic with a digger engine. Love it! Looks to sell below a grand, too.
