Does the Taunus share body panels with the Mk3 Cortina? Only I'm thinking there must be a few quid in bringing some cheap ones back over and stripping them for parts.

I was in Germany around 1987, that shape of taunus was everywhere. They look similar to the mk3 cortina (it is the same vehicle underneath) but panel work is all different.bonnet is different, wheelarch profile is different, rear bodywork is totally different, it does not have the same "coke bottle" swage line, etc. I think the 1976 onwards taunus is however identical to the mk4 cortina.

The Taunus was also available in nifty 2 door coupe form which we never got, also they shunned the 2.0 pinto in favour of the cologne V6 in 2.0 flavour.

Blimey, its an auto!!!! I bet thats a smooth drive, NOT

Actually, it's a CVT, so should be super-smooth in a clutch-slipping Granny kind of a way. Neeeeeeeeeeeeah!

Given it's a Beltomatic CVT, it probably is.

K-plate? That must have stood around for a while before being registered - I'm sure the facelift version was already out by

1992.

^Agreed. If it were sub £1k I might be tempted in case I ever need a smaller Lancia to hammer over the Dedra.

Corrados aren't normally shite fodder but this one has 227,000 miles and is £300 quid. Mot'd too. Seems to have suffered some pre rat looke work by a partially sighted previous owner.

I think those Lomax kit cars were built just down the road from here in Lye!

It may be ugly, but that homebrew kit is not a Lomax.

BX looks like a win wagon. Wish mine would start.

Sorry DNJ I don't really know anything about it, just took a couple of pics when I saw it parked up outside work. The Merc is for sale in Cleobury Mortimer about 10 miles away so I assume it must live there. Heres the other pic

DAF is near Edinburgh, and I'm surprised that Scoot's name isn't on the V5 yet.

That Fiat 127 is an absolute travesty. How anyone can think that they've 'improved' that is beyond me!
