That would be an ideal vehicle to brighten up a child's day. You could drive around in it offering them sweets, show them some puppies, or give them a lift because you know their mum and she says it's OK.

For some deeply unfathomable reason, I find myself liking that old Bedford... I'll just sit here till the feeling passes!

I just clocked this cracking air-cooled 126 for sale, £285 BIN. It appeared to be a spectacularly awesome bargain, and only 20 miles from home. I felt obliged to buy it, but deliberately dawdled cos the last thing I need is another car, and decided to watch telly for 10 mins instead thus giving someone else the chance to solve my problem. Fortunately while I was watching telly someone else has grabbed it! Listed for 10 days, BIN'd after 1 hr 10 minutes.

Tempting Bluebird, but I've just bought that Integra. Not a million miles from me though, if anyone wants a lift from the station to go pick it up, give me a nudge.

Bloody hell, that XJR is shockingly cheap. Worryingly so.

That Volvo is on a Patrol chassis, it had a 740 body on prior to this one! I'd not buy a jubilee clip from that place however!...

Fiat van advertised as "HAMMER PRICE IS PLUS VAT" - I wonder if this is entirely within the legalities of an eBay auction - classified advert possibly, but not, I would have thought, an auction.

totally legit - happens all the time in the real world.

Hammer price +premium+vat on premium +vat on sale price if seller is VAT registered.

I'm aware of it's legitamacy in the real world, but I'd be concerned for the seller that an arsehole will win the auction, refuse to pay the vat on top and hence complete the sale, and then neg the buyer because "they wanted more that the eBay price because of VAT, and I don't pay VAT".

I used to sell Taishan scooters in a similar fashion. They were dirt cheap and brand new (and shit), but as the ebay fees ate nearly all the profit, we listed them not including vat or delivery. Now, the subject line even made mention of this, and most of the ad was plastered with "YOU HAVE TO PAY THIS MUCH DELIVERY AND VAT, THERE IS NO WAY ROUND THIS, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THIS BEFORE BUYING" (they were all buy it now) and literally 80% of the sales we made one month negged us for trying to charge extra and didn't complete the sale, which cost us iirc £70 a go. So we stopped selling them on ebay again. Arseholes, the lot of them.

You'd think so but seemingly it has a 'tare' on the driver's seat so it'll cost more for salad dodgers.

:D

Looking more closely at it, it does seem a bit mistreated. Mingin' inside, and if someone has managed to get it that scruffy in only 99k miles (hmm) then mine's doing very well indeed for 156k...

Still dangerously cheap though. Not surprised it' went that quickly.

10 quid says it blew up in a fashion not dissimilar to Kev Leaper's in PPC.
