1974 Cadillac Eldorado

Imagine the possibilities of driving around in this, you could pretend to be a Texan oil mogul! Or a pimp! Or an American car fan, complete with a leather waistcoat and a bloody cowboy hat. Oh, forget it. Weigh it in. I'm done.

I hope you havent paid 700 for a cambelt!!!!!!EDIT: Soz I was talking to BOGWIZZLE there.

Posted

No, the cambelt came in at £250 in the end, plus the garage man called me a bastard as a bonus - turned out it was a total turd of a job that took him way longer than expected. When you total up all the other stuff like new discs & pads on the front, new cylinders on the rears, filters, fluids, guff like that, it soon adds up. Still, worth doing I suppose given the abuse it gets subjected to. 1000 miles last week, and some serously deep mud

It's an ARO, they were also responsible for the zenith of 4x4 engineering Dacia Duster.

I have a UK brochure on that style of ARO, picked up at an agricultural show in the early '80s. Whether that means they actually sold any I wouldn;t like to say...

In my youth I did see a few of those Aro's knocking about, there was also the Portaro which was the same but Portuguese built, I'm pretty sure we got them too

1982 Ford Escort 1.3GL

The seller wants 500 notes for this bad boys, Sounds fair for a 3 door model I think that it has 12 months MOT as well and i love the blue dash as well.

1974 Morris Marina 1.3 Coupe

This freshly restored Marina is bloody lovely, £1400 buys you this hunny.

I'm not going to help you with this one, See if you can guess what it is without cheating! (Oh it's a mega POS!)

Posted

The boot makes me think MKII Fiesta. Ugh what a POS, straight outta Max Power circa 95. What the hells going on with the front? If you wanted the look of the MKIII, buy one of them instead.

Posted

I notice the two wheelie bins are checking it out, possibly wondering if (and hoping not) they're related.

^^^ :D I think he's optimistic with the 99p start price.
