Feel the maternal instinct pour forth from every gland in your torso as you gaze upon this lonely Montego diesel, cast aside for breaking by its heartless Bulgarian master after 440,000km of service. €350.

Compare the meerkat! Hmm - I'll take the slightly less muddy one on the left.

Plenty more shots of the owners employing this vehicle in further Putin-style hunter-gathering exercises. €770.

I very strongly suspect this Lada is in better nick now than when it rolled off the production line. €820

If the Mr Men ever go to war - GOD FORBID - they'll be driving around their front lines in this. €1,020.

Simply an all-round credit to motoring. €1,070

Strewth! This looks extremely good value for €1,280. Any more shots of this Brit-registered beauty, sir?

I took a look at this old Merc back in February, It was a lovely, original old thing but the floor needed a lot of welding work, The garage (if you can call them that) is still trying to sell it for £1500, the tax ran out back in May 09.

Is it true what it says on Wikpedia that there's an 05 reg Cortina knocking about? That I HAVE to see!

If it is how do you go about getting it through the emissions test required for that year :? ,

on ebay, anything advertised as 'suitable for weddings' is inevitably a total heap of shite, why is that? I think i'm gonna use it as a euphemism from now on. If a mate asks me 'what do you reckon to my new motor then?' If i fuggin hate it I will say 'yeah, looks like it would be great for weddings' knowing inside that I am actually insulting his ride pretty badly.

It's for the first wedding, the subsequent ones will just be quick registry office jobbies, they'll be fed up of all the pomp by then.

You might think, but people seem to go for the full works every time they get married nowadays.

I know someone who spent 25,000 on a wedding - it lasted 21 days. Did feel some schadenfreude (sp?) over it since I'd spent the last 18 months hearing about what fucking font would be on the invitations. I tried to get to the reception but got lost in the back lanes so gave up and went home.

Poor guy, having to sell because of an attempted theft & malicious damage 3 days after the MOT, read the avert for the story:

that Marina really needs to lose those wank alloys though.

I agree totally. What a lovely Marina, if I had a bit of spare cash and a very big garage I'd be all over that. Probably wouldn't be too hard to find a decent set of original wheels for it.

That silver Maxi is so sad. You can almost hear it crying out with despair "Save me from the hiab!"

That Maxi story is sad, theving scum.

That Marina does come with it's original wheels Dicky, The MGF one's wouldn't fit according to the ad (which i didn't read properly earlier)

Morris Marina dashboards always look the wrong way round.

There was an unregistered red 2.0 litre GL saloon sold on ebay around 2005, I recall that it went for the best part of £10,000 to a buyer from Scotland. The emissions shouldn't be a problem as technically it should be done on the age of the engine, where it would be reasonable for the tester to assume that it was fitted to the car when it was built, where if necessary the build month and year can be decoded from the vehicle identification number.

I don't normally like big modern alloys on old cars, or lowering, but I think that Marina on MG TF alloys could look great lowered a bit.

Someone be quick, BX diesel with a years ticket for only £250 BIN!

Jesus, what a bargain. Hmm, payday Friday, will watch that withb great interest. Cheers Trigger.

Edit: Rather questionable eBaY history from the seller, including him seemingly having sold a car which he had feedback for then, according to the next feedback score up, someone else bought it and was less than happy. Allegations of clocking a BMW and something about turning someone over for a TR7 engine.
