Hey - this 1.8 75 Connoisseur auto looks spit-spot for £600 BIN with a full ticket!

I genuinely don't know much about Rover engines so I have to ask the question - is it a case of WHEN rather than IF the 1.8 engine will suffer a head gasket failure?

That Maxi a couple of pages back was one of Torstens. It is a lovely colour too.

Definitely when. Especially if it's OM NOMS with the coolant already. In fact, not sure I'd risk driving that one home. I hate it when skinflints fit the cheapo rear number plate as well. Doesn't cost much more to get a proper Rover shaped one fitted.

Check out the colour of this bloody thing. Never seen one this colour before. Was up for £1900 bin, tidy spec by the looks of it with the telly and full leather but at a 151k it must have been through about 5 clutch slave cylinders.

Conclusion? Still would.

Roadworthy Rebels don't come up for sale that often and I can see the bidding for this one reaching a decent price.

'witch is in the boot'

I tried that, but she got out, called the police and I ended up doing 3 months.

'bit of filer I have weles.'

You should see the doctor.

'Everywhere I go people look'

Get rid of the weles and they'll pick on someone else.

Ooh that's lush! I had one of those in, er.... 1986! I remember it being comfy and smooth, although the black interior was a bit of a hole. Dark colours, high waistline... no wonder I'm claustrophobic!

Billy, that Escort looks very much like the one we were all getting wet over* at Chumley... remember? It came past us with a family of four inside as we were taking the line-up photos at the end of the day.

(* We did all have a good laugh at ourselves afterwards.)

Holy shit, the chances of finding another 323 like that basically zero.

Also, I hope someone saves that Metro. It truly is 'RED HOT'.
