405 Mi-16 Le Mans spec-ed par excellence! Looks nice, bet it won't be cheap.

SCTSH_ANDY has had one of these for TIME immemorial. The bottom end is borked and he can't be arsed selling it because of all the OMGUVEGTALEMANSANDURNOTRESTORINGUPLEB types.

He's taking the bits he wants off it, and then binning it. Shame really, it's pretty solid, sitting next to our lock up.

Why doenst he have a crack at sorting it out then?

i think a pair or heavy duty earplugs would be in order though

Agreed, Billy! Who would? I mean really, come on, look at it; who the fuck would?

I never get the point of putting that. Sure it makes people look at your ad but you'll get people turning up wanting to shag your bird rather than buy your car.

Erm, ooops! My comments were about the Jetta, but perhaps on closer inspection, they could apply to the Audi too... And if she must wear a basque with suspenders attached, shouldn't she wear the stockings with it?

Another nice estate. 420GSi, 49K £595 quid. It needs a new alternator but I can't think that'd be too dear.

Nothing sells a car like the old bonnet up shot

Mercedes cl500 for sale, excellent bodywork and interior, unmolested edition with lots of extas

Sounds nice.

few hazard warning lights (abs) along with a slight running problem. 9 out of ten times the car will start and drive perfect, the power is brilliant but the odd time it will start no problem but will go into limp mode but to rectify it all I do is stop and restart the car and it drives perfect again, its never annoyed me enough to get it fixed

RUN AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cav is hunny, sort of glad I'm skint really!

Right, this is MEGA and (although I suspect ten grand is way over priced) I'd roll in it no danger.

IIRC any commercial vehicle first used before 1963 and which isn't used for the transport of goods is automatically MoT exempt these days.

That is a massive bargain at £2.5k with 44k miles. The 2.0 DynamIque is shit though. When you're buying a car like that is HAS to be an automatic V6 cruiser with all the toys (half of which won't work, but it's nice to have the buttons to look at). Love that colour though.

R9UKE if I wanted an avantime to use daily, not blow up and possible LPG convert I guess I want the v6 BUT what do I need to look out for and what spec should I look for?

CZ 505, dead handy for popping down to the shops. The decadent fucking western imperialist scum pigdog shops, mind. Down with your Costa's coffee and M+S Y-fronts...

Biggest thing is the cambelt. Engine out job on the V6, but not on the 2.0 so if you're going for the V6, make sure it's been done. An invoice within my cars service history shows that the previous owner paid Renault £1800 for the job  The V6 also chews through ignition coils, but they're only £25 from GSF and easy to change.

Rear wheel bearings are a common failure. You can write off the CD Changer and the heated seats. Alloy wheel corrosion happens as does bubbling of the silver roof rails. Also the central armrest brackets break, as does the catch for the central dash drawer. The great thing about the car is that every fault more or less happens to every single car, and the Avantime Owners Site have repair guides on most.

Spec wise, it's either the 2.0 Dynamique or the 3.0 V6 Privilege. The Dynamique does without auto wipers, auto dimming mirror, parking sensors, electric heated windscreen and only has part leather. The Privilege could be specced up further with special "Exception Packs" (£2000 extra) featuring two tone leather in mad colours which also covers the dashboard. The Dynamique's interior looks rubbish in comparison. Mine has the Nautical Blue Exception Pack:

Sorry to bore you to death but I've been without the thing since before Christmas and I'm suffering :x:(
