Cars, Lasses and Lads - A Photo Sharing Thread

I was about to say that a) it's a flat tanker - which fell out of fashion in the late 1920's; b) it's a Royal Enfield and c) the photo is a mock up - note the 'modern' telegraph pole, the bulkhead light on the fence and, less sure about this one, the corrugated iron shed. It appears to be a foundry i'm guessing it's at somewhere like Beamish or a preserved steam railway. Also, for 1914, both characters look a little old for front line action.

You crack on M9 - it kept several people entertained, trying to work out what's what in that pic!

This is bugging me, I thought it was Ashbourne, it looks similar but the road at Ashbourne bends to the right and there is a road junction on the left.  The memorial is different at Ashbourne too.  Anyone know where this is?

Looks like Warkworth in Northumberland to me……

Visited Warkworth a few times on holiday and I don't think thats it, the memorial looks different and the buildings don't match up also the footpath on the right is much wider further up the hill although you can't see that from the streetview picture here

I tried an image search for the Red Lion, but twenty-seventy-million other Red Lions appeared. Also the pub has probably changed it's name to the Overprice Mashed Potato.

You’re right - on closer inspection it isn’t Warkworth 👍

I'd say you're right, that chimney definitely checks out.
