Yes, Albert Walter Gamage was the founder. I remember going there regularly in the 60s, huge toy department and a car parts department. Bizarrely my Dad bought a new battery for the car just after we’d bought toys on one trip. We also got all the gear for our first camping holiday there.

We’d always visit the pets department to see the talking Mynah bird.
