May, 1971. The production of the Alfa Romeo Montreal finally begins. Alfa linked the Montreal with the race-winning T33 V8, even though the only similarity was that they were both V8s. The chap could be Giorgio Pianta who raced for Alfa (and other Italian marques) and was later the manager of their sport department.
