Good match Norwich and Proton. Not really bad but never good enough for the  premier league either. ( slightly unkind , but could say the same about Delia in TV chef land).

Eastbourne reg car, probably sold by Clark and Lambert. That's Eastbourne seafront, during the building of the TGWU centre, so it's after late 1974. Maybe a resident of Grand Court behind the car, or perhaps the owner of the Oban Hotel or the Aexandra next to it ( a Mrs Dobell, but she doesn't look the way I vaguely remember her)

I had a great aunt who lived up the parade a bit in Clive Court - lovely views.  A bit posher than Herne Bay...well more 'genteel' would be the word.

Oh but the residents of Clive Court didn't like Cunninghams Club on the ground floor! It was a late-night Members bar with restaurant, taking up the space of 2 flats. Spend many hours (and £££) in there - saw Lionel Blair in there one night, and a couple of others I can't recall now. Eventually the owner (Brian) was bribed out/evicted and moved the club to the semi-basement of the Pier Hotel, but it was never quite the same. Still see him around, occasionally.

Oh I didn't know that (or can't remember) only went there a few times, a long time ago, my aunt was a quiet single lady, I can't imagine it would be up her street!
