JJ0063’s current steed - Life of an impulsive car owner -[Cant keep away from N47]

Think I’m going to sell the Range. Been using the Berlingo the past few days and I really like it. So good on fuel and as alluded to in the camper thread, I’m trying to reduce monthly outgoings at the minute, the Range is a luxury I can do without.

Can imagine it’ll be a fucking nightmare to sell but we’ll see.

Good luck with the sale, I dreaded them coming through WBAC but they’ll happily buy them, just needs an additional engine check video uploaded for approval.

Ah. I was just thinking it would've been a good Range Rover replacement in terms of cheap to keep!

I said the same thing to mrs JJ the other day! Hindsight!

Decided today the Range can definitely go, I’ve retained the plate and cleaned it all out. Will try and avoid using it now so I don’t have to clean it again 😂

Wont bother posting it on here as it’s definitely not an AS type of car but if anyone happens to be interested, let me know.

As nice as they are, a wise decision I think. Hope you shift it quickly.

I don’t even have a particular reason I can blame the car on! I’m just trying to be sensible for a change 😂

I honestly think I’ve got the best one I could have possible gone for, top top spec and the correct engine. It’s a great car and I have full confidence in whoever buying it will be chuffed with it. It really has impressed me tbh!

At the same time I’m really looking forward to running around in something cheap that I don’t have to worry about!

Well, someone’s apparently on their way up from Essex to view the RR at 5pm.

I’ve actually been eyeing these up on BCA recently as I love my 4.2 SC full fat but could really do with something significantly cheaper to run so I don’t have to have another car for the day job 🤨

Genuinely really recommend them. The 2.2 that is! Impressive little car, they are small but I really liked this one.

Well, they’ve arrived. Said they’ve looked at lots of them and none have been any good, hopefully he likes mine…

Think I’ll actually miss this one! Really nice car.

Now feel quite excited about being able to look for something more shite and lower budget though 😂

Another camper?😜

Ok, ok, I'm leaving...

Mrs JJ has conveniently found a dog she wants within an hour of the money being in the bank, so whatever I buy, it’ll be cheap 😂

I imagine I’ll end up in a berlingo or similar tbh, just want something I haven’t got to care about.

You didn't actually think you were going to get any sensible responses now did you @JJ0063? 🤣

Haven't you had enough diesel BMWs yet?

Go on, live a little and get...  something else?

5'er will be fine. Boring but functional.

Wouldn't it have been more sensible to have kept the RR if it was working fine and you liked it?

A semi modern diesel BMW is far from the first thing that comes to mind if you want a car "you don't have to care about"

I’d like to, but I find it easy to stick to what I know. I am really tempted with a little van this time, not sure!

Financials, trying to be more sensible - I keep equity from the RR, RR was also dear on fuel and insurance so I can save in other places

When I say care about, I mean anything sub 4k is going to be something I don’t have to worry about keeping immaculate, if it got a scrape or whatever wouldn’t be the end of the world - I didn’t expect to find a semi modern BMW for that money, I was picturing a £2500 Caddy or something when I wrote it!
