It looks pretty rust-free, you should go and cut the front wings off, i'm pretty sure they are worth gazillions if they haven't rusted through arounmd the headlights....

If the Cabstar uses the 2.7 Nissan lump then it's worth money in the Taxi world.

Jeez, that SD1 hasnt moved since 97! Pretty long gone judging by the masses of rot. Weirdly the DVLA doesnt even know the colour. Those Cabstars are also getting slightly less common now as well, I saw an earlier variant on a G plate in F'Borough a few weeks ago but the guy inside would not stop looking in my direction.

127! Hmm, must head up to the steading and throw some more spears at mine, it's been neglected these past few years.

Experiencing a case of want for the rear window louvres on the 345, but have realised that they won't fit mine 'cos it's one of those newfangled ones with the bonded rear screen. :(

Elation to despair in one post, must be Wednesday again.

Which scrappy has all these? A mate is building an XK120 and wants an early 4.2 to rebuild - that XJ6 or the 420 could be just the job.Rootes, if you're a long term Leics resident, do you remember a massive yard run by Tom Simpson. If was somewhere fairly close to the M1 and was supposed to have 2-3000 cars in there - we're going back 30-40 years mind.

Wonder if the Skoda pickup's payload has been exceeded there?EDIT: VW pickup, even.

Loughborough area was where I grew up - so that one is one I have not heard of. I am only 41 so its possibly before my time.

Would that be 'Simo's' of Whetstone? Heard stories of that place having stuff going back to the 30's. All long gone now though.

Some fabulous rubbish, there. That 'nada hearse was outside the famously chod-laden garage between Clacton and St Osyth until recently.
