Cap doffed to the chap who built it. Garden shed engineer and it actually looks really well put together. Immaculate build, in fact. That's a lot of fun for a smidge over £2.5k.

Going to give that a watch!

But sounds like a better idea than shoving in a ReidChap.

Just because it'll not be either reeking or leaking it's engine oil everywhere!

*A good C20XE powered B is actually a very surprisingly quick little car!*

I cant be the only who read that and went

"they strapped a Jet engine to a Corsa!?"

Local car!

Bike engines in kit cars are ridiculous...

Bike engines in hatchbacks are an awful lot of effort for a lot of noise and a smaller power-to-weight ratio than a decent car engine swap.

Blackbirds were 130bhp iirc, and less than 80lb/ft of torque.

Really respect the work that's gone into it, but I think I'd still have a saab lump.

Same, he even mentioned that he used an F40 diff so he's already got the appropriate drive shafts for it. A redtop vauxhall engine or B204 would drop right in (with some slight reprofileing of the chassis leg).

Cracking great project none-the-less, the bike engine must weigh a hell of a lot less than any VX/SAAB engine so that combined with the plastic windows must make it fun to drive and better around corners than the traditional swap.

Edit: I misheard F15 as F40 diff, ignore the driveshaft waffle.

I got to 27 seconds before that dickhead became completely unbearable. Car made a nice noise though.
