lankytim he is nice chap couldent gone better place he had nice xr4 am happy he happy,he going to do work thats needed.am  going to insure cortina tommorror give it good clean,off work this week

This was mine 30 years ago, right after I got it resprayed.  2.0GL auto, perfect spec.  Please Tony, get a white front plate made up!  Those black ones have to go, they're just SO wrong!

just cleaned it am going to find out what the best polish for mettillic paint anyone on here got any ideas

just for noel,put original indercaters and grill back on it,am trying to make it stock looking number plates next and got a good boot without the spoiler have get repainted,

bloke got in touch said he had front set off door cards,so they arrived got to cleaning them and fitting them,yes i know am lucky cause ford did that many trim levels its unreal am that sad its like finding winning ticket old sad git,just got chase my m8 he says he got original steering wheel finsh it off,its added another tenner to value to car lol be 20 when get the steering wheel

not done much all done was to get rid off the sticker off dash,am happy nearly bought another one bit saved another fiver to value,

abslute pain fit took ages get dash back in screwed cluster back to dash,tried and i treid to fit steering wheel had cut plastic  colum that fits to steering wheel,think he sent wrong one oh well its in,bad news ign switch key wont turn,ready smash it up,must done something  steering lock not comeing on switch is in the locked postion ,have good look tommorror walked away lol

I've just had a happy hour with Tony, looking around this Cortina.  It's a treat!  He's got a few small things to do but it's really good overall.

cheers eddie thanks noticeing fan belt lol,cured the red light issue dash back in again lol,just been in the loft dug out my cortina manuals under bonnet needs a good clean

wanted someting suttle so got these bad boys ,copies off mexico steels,my 1600l would off had something simeliar but  lot skinner.going to try work out how put the ford centre caps on nearly thier dont what size tyres 175 or 185 ?

Yes, that's what I had on my Cyprus Capri.  It rode well and looked just right.

pads were shot so new ones in,people dont know but on mk3 to mk5 always sit lower werepetrol tank is,when were new they had higher spring fitted so put a pad on,sits level was going to put new discs but there fine stops lot better lol,check back ones another day

Great looking car! Always had a soft spot for a Cortina!

Agree with Eddy on the tyres, 185/70 is the size to go for on a 5.5x13 rim (I assume these new rims are 5.5) Ive got a set on my Capri which has the 5.5x13 dartboard style wheels. They look well in that size imho.

bought these off ebay i got them cheap enough had chrome trims in my loft splashed out on new nuts,bad news centre caps are missing thier clips find way around it,
