haha thats excellent!! My first car on the road was exactly the same as that one, started off that color then got handpainted black one weekend when i was bored.... :D

reg no was A950RAE...had some great times in that car,i remember me and some mates were coming home late one night when all of a sudden there was a horrific whooshing noise and hot steam immediately blew out from under the dash and filled the car instantly.....we were out of there before the car even rolled to a halt, one mate thought it was smoke so grabbed the radio and chucked it over the nearest hedge...when we realised there was no amber/orange glow that it couldnt be fire we gingerly approached the still hissing car and opened the door to find the footwells full of boiling water, turned out a heater pipe had blown off........

Was the radio "hot"?

Lol no,it was the worst pile of shite pye cassette player going, hence why the 1st thought was that it had blown up on us

Looks superb, I'd love a Super Estelle. Or even a normal Estelle.

Where the hell did you buy that? 1987?

Superb chap.

I haven't seen one that clean for years.

I really regret missing out on £50 Skoda Estelle motoring. I should of paid more attention to Jalopy when I had the chance.

Another story i remember about this one is taking it through the local newly opened IMO carwash and they had to close it down for about 2 hours after to retrieve all the bits that came off it....

:) Took some pics today. It's currently in my Skoda workshop having the corroded battery box repaired and a thorough rustproofing using Bilt Hamber products. I've recently had the front and rear screen chrome/plastic trims replaced as they had deteriorated pretty badly.

Nice!

Going back about 22 years but my friend's parents had one just like that as their first learner car. Y reg, identical colour, same interior, can't remember if it had alloy or steel wheels though.

And then my sister and then brother in law had this Amber Artefact (it had quad headlamps @ the front, btw) :
