Collected!!

Top seller, hung around for me as I was late, provided snacks and an OBD reader.

currently doing 51.3 mpg heading home on the A1.

Drives well enough and I’ve tried to get the clutch to slip as described and I can’t. Very tidy inside. Only issue I can find are the stupid wheels dragging me all over the road so will look for some smaller wheels id think.

Goldendoodle approved!

Zim zimmer

Well well well a couple of weeks of ownership and this has been doing great. Bought some wheels cheap cheap with decent winter tyres on (because summer obvs) so switched them over and found the rear suspension bottom bolts to be non existent….that will explain the savage wandering all over the road. Easy cheap fix and it’s like a different car.

Next problem is every once in a while it spaffs oil all over the underside of the bonnet. A quick investigation tells me that the caps and seals fail so I’ve just spent a whole £8 buying parts to fix it.

So far so good. Got the old wheels to sell and then I’m just going to keep using it until the next barg appears!

Looks much better on the new wheels I think!

Having my second coffee, bacon sarnie, a satsuma and a brownie. Being picked up from the train station in the definition of Japanese refinement!

There she is. In its natural habitat. This is the second station I’ve been in in the last 6 minutes….fuel consumption isn’t that bad but Asda don’t do special gogo juice! F5C7F22B-12D0-4EDD-B852-C628EDB8EEBC.thumb.jpeg.8d615a46bdfc4aa86eed8e54be39d22f.jpeg

Also I have within 30 minutes fixed the seating issue. It’s now got half Norwegian leather seats.

Smooth transaction with a frankly barmy lift from the station in another fine Japanese vehicle! @juularfrankly bonkers LS400. Apologies for the unsocialness I’ll take a cuppa next time. Thanks so much.

12/10 would buy chod again from haggisland

Drives like a 25 year old 3.3 petrol elgrand does.

Got a couple of chairs to collect so the elgrand will end up standing me very little. Here’s hoping I can squeeze it through an MOT!

Well home without issue. Even got the radio working…well Radio 2.

Drives well enough and is thoroughly economical…..

Japan uses a different range of FM frequencies for radio, and the very top end is around 89/90, so the only thing you get in the UK is unfortunately R2 😂

Yeah it’s been the same with all of these I’ve had. It does have a DAB aerial so it should be an easy fix!

Used to be able to get frequency shifters which would "add" ~10MHz to the available range thereby making them more useful in the UK and EU (USA does silly things with their radio frequencies and may work there too)

Any more info on that? I'd love to listen to anything that's not Radio 2 in my Corona 😅

@Robson3022 if you are getting seats from that scrapper, take the seat rails as well, then it should be an easy bolt in swap. I had to hack up the rails on the single seat to get it to fit in my van.

Sort of against the grain but I'd be putting in some dog-sausage red leather Alfa seats.

Looks awesome!
