Shame as I wanted to make this but cant now. Was up for fun and frolics at cannock too

I have done the maths and I averaged 33.6mpg over the trip, in a modern* 2.0 diesel hatchback.

I shall let you draw your own conclusions as to how quickly I did the journey.

I've got home from work, should think about packing the car and some clothes in a bit and get up the road

Premier Inn was £61 in Scotland Wednesday night!

Just retrieved my fine chariot from the unit. Need to tax it in the morning (although driving to a car auction on trade plates wouldn’t be unusual :D)

Current activity: relaxing with a glass of wine deciding which car to bring to Cannock... likely to be either the C5 or the 9000...

It's been ages since I've seen a 9000 in the metal. I still remember my naturally aspirated lump of Swedish magnificence using over half a tank to do a very spirited 70 mile sprint around some countryside in High Wycombe a long long time ago.

If I leave home at 9:15 I should be at Trucker's Rest for 10:30, which means I can awkwardly introduce myself to everyone there and convoy with everyone else to the auction rather than arriving early at the site and introducing myself awkwardly to people as they arrive.
