I've had Paypal problems but am now paid up.

Thank you.

Think you forgot to do as a gift, so I got charged 42p

Not the end of the world I guess, just glad everyone didn't do that. ?

Yep.

So of the £238.50 I made from this sale..

£20 is pending due to an echeque.

£167. 76 is 'pending' due to PayPal being dicks.

£0.42 lost in fees.

£3.83 still in my PayPal account.

So only £46.49 actually received, and those were the bank transfers.

I think with Revolut you can use any currency you desire.

Yes, but you need a phone with internet access and probably an app, whatever that is.

I'll just post the Groats to you and you can handle it from there.

I for one will be running all future roffles with postal order as the only payment method.

Paypal seems to have changed the default to 'paying for goods or services', I nearly got caught by that.  I demand to use the international money transfer system for free, godammit! :)  I wouldn't object to paying a fee that more accurately reflected the actual cost though, say 2-3 pence.

Meh, that's soooo last decade for a bloke that hasn't written/signed a cheque since 2003.

Isn't there a high street bank moby payments thing call "paym"?

There is!!

You might not have written a cheque since 2003, I paid for a Jim Bell raffle with a cheque.

I'm sure Western Union is the fastest and safest method of paying for your Roffle tickets.

When I did the goona roffle a couple of weeks ago   I think 3 peeps ended up not using the friends and family by mistake

I think it was 39p on a 3 quid ticket

I never even cashed it. Was worth more in sentimental value.

Was it signed "Dave Barefoot"?

No it was a propper one with a real name filled out in fountain pen. Like something out of a Charles Dickens book.

@Broadsword should have been home half an hour ago, hope all it okay

Indeed I got home safely. Bit tricky in the inky black and not brilliant lights, but the car itself is fine. Absolute pleasure to meet you @Loserone, thanks again for picking me up!

Front wheels rub a bit at full lock, and the headlights could do with better bulbs, but for the money it's really quite ok. Driving conditions were pretty unpleasant for hopping in a car you have never seen before and driving straight off into the darkness, so actually it did really well. I think it would do someone as an emergency stopgap towncar perfectly. I can't see it breaking down and it has all that MOT left. On the motorway of course it's tinny, but holds it's speed quite ok and sips fuel. 10/10 would take ownership for free again. By the way could you send me the reference number for the new keeper's supplement on the V5?
