Good spots!(BTW, the 'Popular' is a Prefect (4 doors) and the 'Sceptre' is a Sunbeam Alpine or Rapier fastback)

Posted

Your Ford Pop is a prefect, and your Humber Sceptre is a Sunbeam Alpine (not a rapier, not jazzy enough)Pedantry over, welcome!

Really good spots there, those vivas are just begging to be saved.I think that weird looking bus thing was originally a minibus, i forgot what they are called but i think LT used them when they were first built

nice pics are they recent if so is this to far gone as i would like another one to play with.

 oops, could kick myself for getting some of those wrong especially the Alfa Romeo, have been into bikes so long i sometimes struggle to identify 60's 70's & 80's cars

Further pedantry. 2CV could be one of the last of the French-built ones (or one of the first Portuguese) but is probably a good three years before the last one. However, that Dyane is a top spot in a truly shite colour! Love it. Really nice selection!

Think the Cherry may be a Sunny.

Indeed. A B310 120Y sunny.

Incidentally, I just googled 'B310' and got:

Here we go, an Optare Citypacer!

Only 300 made, was apparently due to its high cost.

Production stopped in 1992.

talk about fuggin nuts windscreen wipers.

Some truly fantastic spottage there sir, full marks.Any gen on the MK2 Cav SRi in the first pic and any idea of the chances the owner of the Droopsnoot would part with it?I think that truck cab is a Leyland Buffalo or Bison, looks familiar but can't quite put my finger on it.

Good spots! Pog’s beaten me to the Datsun pedantry, but to add to it by the time of the facelift B310 Sunny it was never known here as 120Y, just Sunny. Some models had 1.4 or even 1.5 engines late-on. Anyway, it’s good to see one around, rust/export/banger racing has claimed most.Regarding the redundant Beetle, I took a photo of a convertible one last week which also had an RRN...K registration.

Fabulous spots! I too had an OMG moment at the Viva estate, immediately recognised it as a Sportshatch The green Granada is cool, it's identical to the one the bloke she was having an affair with in Butterflies drove.
