Peter C Posted May 3 Posted May 3 As of the last few days, 9 out of ten times that I visit AS I get this: I need to refresh the page a couple of times before the site finally kicks in. I’m using an iPhone 11 that is all up to date. Any idea what could be wrong? danthecapriman and Weird Car 2

SiC Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Search server did it's inexplicable gobble all memory, fall over, crash and burn. It hasn't done it in a long time - at least a year. I've restarted it and set it to recache. Search might be an hour or two before it is fully filled again. RayMK 1

I could not find either of the ebay threads. Not a huge issue but was wondering when I last saw a post in one or the other.

Gobbles RAM and CPU time - by far the biggest resource hog on the server. However the search also powers a lot of the other functionality under the hood elsewhere to make the forum work properly. That's why that error comes up when browsing if it's playing up - even if not searching. RayMK 1

SiC Posted May 6 Posted May 6 Generally if it's a server error, you'll get the Cloudflare error page nowadays on here. If there is connection issues between Cloudflare, your ISP and browser/device, there isn't much I can do about that.
