Mustang finished before I got home from work, thankfully!  £700, first bid.  I'd have been singing soprano if I'd bid...

Nice Toledo bo1 a mate's Mum used to have an auto, when she was away on holiday he took it out without having the ability to drive and managed to smash the casing of the autobox on a kerb, he then frantically rung and pleaded me to get the car sorted before her return so she didn't kill him

There are many nice cars that I'll never likely be able to afford, which in most cases doesn't bother me unduly, as there are equally as many nice enough cars that I could realistically acquire.

Those ^^^ however, in either 6 or 12 flavour, are one of the few that make me genuinely upset. I mean, I actually have a knot of grief in my stomach every time I see a picture of one. They're also one of the very few British cars that just completely 'work' visually, there's literally not one thing about them that doesn't look spot-on. I could sit on the drive and just look at it for hours on end (after all it's not like you could buy one and keep it full of petrol)

Anyone need a kidney?

I had one when I was 25, It nearly broke me

Twin Tanks took £120 to fill

Gearbox had to be refurbished as wouldn't select gear other than reverse

Door Cards fell off

Doors both never sat right, wind noise was stupid on motorway

Let water in everywhere

Windows had a mind of its own

But it looked soooo good, agreed they are one of the best looking cars ever.... red with cream leather & tan roof.

Bought for £4k sold for £2.5k months later, was sent to spain I hear.

Dammit that's wonderful.  I wonder if he'd take a straight swap with mine.  Oddly, his has more toys and bodycoloured bumpers, guess it must have been hit hard with the options list when new.  I do note there's no photo of the engine bay which is likely not as tidy as the rest of the car, given that it's probably soaked in several gallons of oil.

approx 69,000 miles, looking at the MOT history this mileage might be genuine having had very little use over the last few years, all thought I cannot guarantee this!

So what sort of MOT history does it have then? because that is usually a given for proving a cars total mileage!!

I've emailed him asking for details on the arches, rot or not, and whether the engine has massive oil leaks. The ad was posted 19 days ago but knowing how desirable*R8s are he's probably still got it. If I can get it on my classic policy cheaply this is pretty much dream shite for me.

Sure we've ripped this before, but take another look at this absurd pile of Noddy car bollocks.

launderlette

Sounds about right actually.

The price is just £35,000!!! You could buy an absolutely beautiful old limo for that if you insisted on doing weddings instead of this ludicrous shite heap.

I would love to buy this and take along the standard wheels and springs etc, replace modded parts outside previous owners home and leave the tat in a pile before driving off in a totally bog standard Passat.
