DIESEL....... 4WD.....AUTO BOX.......

It comes fitted with the 2.2 diesel as in the Lucidas & Previas

Oh aye, good reliable engine that one

Unfortunately, this one overheated after 250 miles ( I bought it from a rather unscrupulous eBayer), & the head gasket is now leaking

NO WAI!!!!!!

These things are WELL WEAPON, i would love one.

the only reason im selling this car is because the m.o.t came up.

I have the m.o.t list and will type up what it failed on.

ALL.. I REPEAT ALL THE REPAIRS HAVE BEEN DONE AND THE VEHICLE ONLY NEEDS TO BE RE-TESTED, i just dont have the time for it and its taking up valuable car space

:roll::roll::roll: What a fucking flange.

I love 'em, ace little things. I seem to recall the 1100S just got 'S' on the side but the 1300s got '1300S' to advertise your fanny magnet 1.3 lump.

That takes me back - to roughly April/May 1982 when I used to go around the big carpark in town writing down numberplates while Mum was doing the shopping. I'd forgotten about the "S" and "1.3S" difference: Maw&Paw M'coli had just bought the T-reg Sunburst Red Cortina estate so I was particularly Ford-centric at that time, and the day that sticks in my mind had good weather (i.e. not pissing it down, but that glorious clarity of light you only seem to get in coastal towns the day after a night of pissing it down, the air is clear and humidity-free, and the sky is a deep, deep blue) but every bloody Fiesta seemed to be an "S" rather than the slightly more exciting "1.3S" model... Disappointed I was.

The other night i had this brilliant dream that i was the Doctor, I'd got wind of this widow who's deceased husband was the owner of a BL garage who had kept a few early and low mileage cars he had come in a part exchanges over the years, She opens up this barn in her garden and it's just rammed full of old Rovers and Austin that had been there since the early 90's.

I buy them all for peanuts and then spend my time getting them back on the road before ebaying them off on a Doctor styleee , There was beige Y reg Montegos, Metro Tickford and Rover 3500 Estates.

I wish i had dreams like that everyday.

To be fair, if you saw that roll past in the street you might well be fooled for a moment, but the problem is, who's going to pay £25k for that POS when a real Aston can be had for not much more?

Posted

To be fair that pick-up rear end does look a lot like it could be based on a mk3/4 Escort van. So much so that I've just been scanning through Wikipedia for a connection. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_Familia

It was sold as a Ford but not here, We got the South African built versions of this era 323 as the Sao Penza 8)

Great colour that 205. I rally want his beige leather wheel to set off the brown on my 309

It's an '80s 323. If I ever buy a 323, I'm going to fit one of those Ford grilles to confuse easily-confused people.

'G638 NNU x a cajillion'

"Here was a car that had the almost indestructible 12 value injection engine, the desirable manual gearbox and extras that brought the specification to a level that was not far of the top of the range model."

Velour interior... no spoiler... manual 'box... should this not have had steel wheels and wheeltrims? It's nearly dibble spec - at least it's got the "12 value" engine, that'll make it much more unique.

You'd still be as well sticking a bloody Merit badge on it...

That is a lovely Senator but they really need to be autos in a dark colour with leather IMO and I can never be bothered to read all the crap on his adverts.

That Celica DB9 looks pretty good, and you could get a tintop real DB9 for about 30k. However, a droptop will sting you for 40 large and up.

Anyway, DB9s are common as muck. Vanq S kits are available. trouble is, you need to buy an XKR to glue the kit on to, and those aren't cheap.

The only reason that Aston Martin put the their V12 engine into the DB9 was because Toyota refused to sell them the Celica engine... Apparently! :D

Chevy Van - more like TRANNY & VAN from my viewpoint.....

These remind me of the Subaru brat pickups but with out the 4 wheel drive or the rust. Seems pretty good for £900

van has signwriting on it,, but comes off easy...

if asking price is met i will remove writing

I wonder what the actual condition of that Jumbuck is like then?

The trouble with the post March 2001 Wira/Jumbucks is that they fall into much higher road tax bracket - which makes the smaller capacity less attractive :(

Bang tidy, and the V12 '7 is the one to have, as long as you have a good battery charger.

These are old-skool brutal, and this manual is a rare beast

I drove a manual one of these almost 20 years ago. Flawed, but unforgettable. You can get an auto for a lot less than this one.
