Quote from the seller of the Alfa:

It is a right hand drive, steel chassis

Steel chassis? Are you sure. I think a more suitable description would be ferrous oxide?

My old Ligier back on t'Bay, now with T&T but still with gaffer tape on the bumpers.  I'm embarrassed to admit I'm half tempted.

Shit, that Legionnaires is magic. I better pretend I haven't seen that I think.

the 307 is utter shit, how Peugeot could start off with beautiful, classy 306 and come up with that frumpy unreliable dull-as-ditchwater blob as its 'replacement' is beyond me.

When you think of it like that it's a pretty amazing design achievement that the 307's replacement (308) looks even worse.

He seems to have accidentally forgotten to mention anything about the bodywork. Given that it's 1) old 2) a Vauxhall and 3) he lives near the sea I suspect it's rough as arseholes. Still, it looks mega.

That Escort's gonna be totally fucked. The 1987 ones were shocking for rust .Various reasons for this have been postulated - shortage of coke after the miners' strike, cheap Russian steel, bodyshells left outside. Mine had had plates welded in the boot at 4 years old, and my mates 87 Poverty Plug example was shameful. At 6 years old mine needed 2 new front wings & inner guards, a new windscreen panel, a fuckload of floor welding and a front crossmember.

'UNIQUE because it was expertly shrink wrapped to resemble a WW2 Spitfire fighter aircraft.'

As opposed to an old Jag that was owned by someone who bought a job lot of Airfix kits and had too much paint and stickers left over?
