Drop him a line. Could only be a couple of hundred away or he'll be happy to let it go if you're straight up with him and quick to pay and collect.

I'll do that. I'm keen so I'd be stupid not to

This has been for sale for YEARS, at the same price, does anyone know anything about it? I am wondering given that they haven't been able to shift it if they will accept a lower cash offer, but a contact of mine has warned me that this place has a dodgy reputation...

Seems a shame to keep cutting up Austin Sevens from almost 100 years ago just to make these speedster things.

I’m sure with some ingenuity and a good eye for proportion, you could build one from scratch?

Been there. They’ve got a lot of nice interesting cars. But it’s a money laundering company...., lots of bad reviews and people avoid it like the plague

Must be a very clattery and noisy unicorn if I've ever seen one. £7900.

It has a whopping 37hp. They used to be built here in Portugal too, and were called Marina even in Ital form

Oh Christ🙄

I'm ashamed to admit that I quite like it, it's a good start, better wings, different wheels would make a difference. I would love an Austin 7 special, but I'm a bit too porky and tall for most of them.

That's got to be the same lump they put in the taxi-spec A60 Oxford, surely?

I had one identical but manual. One of the best cars I’ve ever had.

Agreed. I had a contemporary 520i and it was noticeably better built than the later E34 I replaced it with, which had fallen prey to accountancy.

It's that lovely Calypso Red too. From the days when executive sector cars could be bought in COLOUR.

I had a manual grey one too. Fjordgrau grey was the colour.

My first decent car in about 2002.

Mine was Dolphin Grey metallic. Oozed class at the time.

Then BMWs turned into haemorrhoids.
