Just bought the 5 over the phone ... picking it up tomorrow!

Excited to say the least...

Just don't ask me how many cars that is now, I'm in denial as to the overload.

Top shiteing ... that has to be one of the oldest rhd 5's left.

Excellent!, That's one rare beast you've just bought, I just hope it's not too rusty!

Well done that man, these early 5s are ace. That one even has the dash gearchange rather than the floor shifter. 8)

Nice one CB. If you hadn't bought it I would have done, and I really don't have the time / space / money at the moment...

This is next level bonkers, got to love the way the (original) engine bay looks like the engine was wrenched out with no thoughts about finishing touches like say erm balance, it must be wildly tail happy and ear splittingly loud/furnace hot inside with a couple of slabs of mdf covering the engine

Isn't this the one that was on before, "fully restored" but with a rear valance that looks like it was made by a blind fabricator after someone phoned in with a description of what they wanted made up?

The plate does ring a bell to be fair, it could well be it but that one was light blue, maybe it's had another wank blow over?

I think so, I have a vague memory of it being light blue last time it appeared. Looks fucking awful.

Aye. I (and Mr Bickle I imagine!) would be very interested to know the exact age. There are very, very few dash-change 5s in the UK. Fabulous.

Good luck with that, I "bought over the phone" that Subaru Leone of a couple of weeks ago to find out that it had been "sold" the day before I rang him on the way to the train station

Tatty SVX for £1500? Maybe, maybe not; but the ad's mildly amusing...
