What the actual F is actually going on here?

s-l1600.jpg

And the seller can't even spell the name of the town he's living in!

Also, what the hell is

RUNSAND

???

WILL DRIVE YOU ANY WEAR

Is it self driving? What does my attire have to do with anything?

STARTS FIRST TIME

Will leave me stranded when I try to restart it after the first time?

INTEROR GOOD NO RIPS NEADS CLEAN ROOF LINING GOOD

COMES WITH UNFITED NEW CARPET SET BRAND NEW COMPLEAT CLUTCH

Apart from this analphabetism bordering drivel, does this mean the complete clutch is also not fitted yet?

UNDER SIDE VERY SOLID

Under centre completely rotten?

WOOD IN FAIR CONDITION

What does this even mean?

ADD ELSE WARE

Yes, I'd add some of my ware, e.g. my tool kit.

Greeigetastic.

I'd forgotten that wishy-washy green existed. Excellent choice on a brand new car. Like one of the colours you could get by mixing paints together when at primary school. Used to see it on the last of the Chevettes and early Astra Mk1s. Don't know what the colour was called but a strong Autoshite-beige challenger.

A Viceroy or Senator in that colour would be great!

Or a Vauxhall Royale coupe :-)

L00k at this old shed. Only marginally faster than cycling.

I know it to have recieved a lot of attention before it was laid up some years ago.

Attention from what? The farm animals?

I'm colourblind! It looks beige to me!

This came up for 'sale' on the Dodge 50 FB group recently. Sold by a dithery-sounding woman who gave the impression that getting out of bed and standing up straight was a commitment she just wasnt in a position to make at the moment. Someone asked how much she wanted for it. Predictably she could not help him, and instead asked him to "stop playing hardball with her and lets just leave it at that"

Can't stop laughing at this. One of the most insightful summaries of buying/selling shit on Facebook I've ever read

Anyone still thinking of living in a van?

Has excellent shite credentials...

But of all the features found in motor-homes, you cannot beat having your own toilet on board.   Far better than risking some filthy service station convenience where you don't even know where the paper's been...

IF YOU HAVE THE TIME IN YOUR LIFE TO SIT UP LATE DRINKING AND BUYING CARS YOU CANT BUY, THEN YOU HAVE THE TIME TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE AND BUILD ONE THAT YOU MAY BE HAPPIER WITH. A TALK WITH YOUR GP MAY HELP HERE. THERE ARE ALL MANOR OF SERVICES OUT THERE.

I’ve already replaced it with a boring modern euro blob so I do need it gone. Has to be saved, these are very rare now, especially in standard, un ruined spec. Will be worth a lot of money in coming years! Fast Fords always go up and up!!

Well that's us fucked then.

I might be wrong but it looks like its not a tilt cab so you're stuck with a carb, points and 10mpg. Skilful use of a horse as a letter 'R' there too

Would it still be a 3.3 Cresta engine in one this late, or would it be something completely different?  Senator 3.0i perhaps?

On the subject of old horseboxes, here's one of those weird Mercs with no front overhang.

The colour was called Reed Green. Spent many hapless hours potching up the front wings and arches on my ex's Chevette back in the early nineties. They all had matching green interiors for the extra win!
