Nice car but seriously who needs a description that long?!

Oh and it has the original near 30 year old tyres on it. But don't worry if you crash, because originality>safety

That was quite a detailed description. As it happens, my parents originate from Malaysia and well remember the appearance of the Proton. They thought the car was shite.

Proton was an acronym for PeRusahan OTOmobil Nasional, Malay for National Car Company.

Subsequently they set up another company to make small cars: Perodua (PERusahan Otomobil DUA), or Second Car Company. Shit hot imaginations, these Malays.

Anyway, all these cars sold like hot cakes in the home market because they were tens of thousands of Ringgit cheaper than imported cars (which were subject to 100% import duty, natch).

I like this bit in the Proton ad

I had no doubt it would pass, but unbelievably, to mine and the MoT tester's amazement, it passed

Vittesse

It must be incredibly difficult to copy what's written on a car badge.

It is not an import and has no colour changes from the original Silver.

Yeah, not that I can spot any.

If your looking for a Valentines Gift for Someone Special, not much that could beat this ;)

She wouldn't even rivel an arse cheek.

I would like to buy that Proton.  It looks superb, and I imagine those stalks are supremely enjoyable to use.

My biggest concern would be having to deal with that vendor.  I can hear the adenoids from 200 miles away, and I imagine him to be the type who shouts animatedly when even slightly excited.  I might be being unkind though.

Still, definitely bloody would.

I imagined Ken Livingstone reading the advert aloud. Not good.
