-These are weird old things aren't they? 6-speed gearbox and sporty agenda but at best a lean-burn, low output "FE" 1.6 16v, or as this 5-door, a friggin' 1.3! A GTi from 10 years earlier at least had the higher-output "GE" 16v motor and something back-up the sporty pretence. Meanwhile, in Japan, the sporty Corolla got the 20v, 160bhp 1.6.

Bosh! Bosh! Bosh! It's the cavcraft 1-2-3 knockout corsa combo!

Even as a long standing Corsa hater, I actually like the second one. I feel dirty having admitted to that.

A Renault mechanic I once knew told me sparky plugs are an engine out job. Doubtless, your mechanic will hate you, but some random blokes on the internet who like weird old cars and arguing will almost certainly respect you for the size of your balls.

James May approved on Top Gear quite some years ago. Weren't these designed by an ex TG presenter (from the 80's or 90's version)? I'm sure I remember James saying something along those lines in the episode where he drove one.

'Daisy, Daisy give us a Frenchie, do

I've got some vinyl, three wheels and some glue

It won't be a painless ride out

with a the handbrake shoved up your clout

But you'll look a treat, upon the rear seat

of a lawnmower made for two'

'could be ex RAF WW2 as there is blue paint under the black'

In the same way that picture my kids drew on an old fucking TUC biscuit tin lid could actually be Van Gogh's 'Poppy Flowers' as there's definitely yellow paint underneath.
