The first minor doesn't really seem to need much doing.

The second needs a bit of welding and a new windscreen but the owner sent me five (five!) emails with photographs and a spreadsheet document detailing what he has done over the last few years which sounds a lot like something I would do.

The midget is really quite close to home and basically needs put through an MOT (and the rubber bumpers binned obvs).

The first one has KA seats, which isn't a good sign, the 2nd one looks nice but these things love a weld fest and the third is a midget. Any other options??

Rover 213 at 92,000 miles has had a good life.

Avoid early Minors. They are dog shit. Owner's Club is best bet to buy one, on eBay they go for silly money. Yes, they do like to rot in many structural areas and are quite maintenance intensive. But they have a heart of gold, I'd take another in a flash.

I thought the Ka seats were a little odd but just assumed someone didn't get on with the standard seats. The second one needs a patch of welding on one corner for it's MOT so perhaps it's heading towards a weldathon and the Midget is just very local. I've been wanting a (cheaper) classic for a while and these would basically serve as a foot in the door of the local community, give me a some experience with proper old cars and give me an asset that I might be able to increase the value of or at least not depreciate much or at all and maybe even swap for another car. Plus, that plate must be worth some decent pocket money...

Also they've relisted the Midget now that it has 12 months MOT with no change to the asking price... I suspect some calls to classic insurers might happen shortly.

I think Morris minors are a car it's pretty much impossible not to like.

They are certainly inoffensive, no pretensions about being something they are not. I wouldn't say that I desire one as such but they are plentiful and reasonably cheap.

They're also pretty decent to drive, even in modern town/bypass traffic.
