There is a set process on how to start it up and to be honest, I can't remember how to!

 

To be fair, he's right about the starting process.  I've had a go on one of these and it is quite involved, with opening and closing various taps and switches.  If anyone wants to buy it I can put you in touch with a man who knows about them.

 

They are lovely bits of no-nonsense engineering, with a modular block.  More power, Herr Bauer?  Just bolt on another cylinder.  If I wanted an old tractor this would be very high on the list.

Never even heard of these before. Cheap too. I would love it!

Same engine and pretty much the same tune as your Laguna. The 225 gained bigger turbo, injectors and a bunch of internal changes. I didn't know they did this aetup in a 225 lookalike though - I knew the lower power 2.0t was a Megane engine but only seen them in standard looking trim. To be honest, I'd rather pay an extra 1k and get a proper 225. It's not only the engine on them, but we'll setup suspension too.

The Clio tune (F4R engine) is a lot rougher though as more aggressive cam's. The Megane (F4RT engine) in 225 tune can easily and safely remapped to 275bhp. Where as the Clio needs to have extensive internal work done to get it to that level if a turbo is slapped on.

 

Its also often regarded by the Clio enthusiasts that most of the 182s don't actually manage 182bhp in the real world...

No idea what is required other than chassis and probably bulkhead works! I probably needs the bedford 330 back in it :).

 

Seems a shame to lose that Patina but too far from me unless someone fancies getting it to N Devon somehow...

I know the previous owner had an issue with the original engine in it and ended up replacing with a true abarth engine (that flew apparently) - its stamped on the sump underneath - just cant make it out fully on the right in the last photo
