Good grief, I know exactly where that is because I stayed at the place where it lives last year!

You did what???

Holy shit, you must have nerves of steel!

I'd have run faster as fuck! In all directions at the same time!

Not on Ebay but one I found myself and I thought it would go down well here. Maybe I should make a for sale thread for it? Last MOT expired in 2010, it was a pass but mentioned corrosion to the chassis/subframe not really a surprise but who knows what nightmares live within six years later. Apparently it had 20k in 2009 and 15K in 2006 but I don't know if these have a five or six digit odometer.

£500, PM me for contact details if your interested. The car is between Ayr and Dumfries, not too far from the A74(M). Someone ask me to go and have a better look at it for you so I can make an offer on his Mini Scamp, please.

This is literally less than a mile away from me and one of my dream cars and MrsH said no, so SW shiters unite! It's in Four Lanes.

If my old eyes aren't deceiving me, there appears to be a high roof Maestro camper with Montego front end parked behind the 'crab.

You would be correct!

this one?

Yep. Bit surprised at the asking price. It might be solid but it needs a paint job, it has been converted to manual with later A+ engine that when I had it was burning oil and had reasonable interior but with sun damage on the dash, splits in the chairs and a hole in the carpet left by gear stick change.

The v5 wasn't updated to reflect the transmission conversion.

I sold it for about £600 I think.

It was the fastest car I have ever driven mind.

This guy is hopeful, an 06 plate Vectra diesel "GARAGE PROJECT" with a mysterious disappearing coolant problem - just £1000 to you son.

He's a dealer too, reckons it owes him £1500, sounds like the Nick Leeson of the cheshire motor trade

Another Vectra V6 diesel:

must say, I can see the appeal of these, I bet they can pull the gable end out of a house yet look as miserable as a Little Chef waitress.

They have used it daily for the last 7 years up until Friday, they started to notice the front end feeling a little wayward under heavy braking or under hard acceleration.so they took it to our local garage, he removed the plastic undertray and found the front subframe to be badly corroded.

Blimey, that sounds safe*
