Something thought provoking for me here:

I know the owner and I saw the car several years ago. Question is, would I be better to get my 2.2 estate up and running again, or give myself yet another project? Hmmmmm.......

He let me know about this just minutes after I started 'having thoughts' about a Galant V6 that I saw for sale locally.

PCP on the Avensis ends later this year and I'm probably not going to buy it myself or take out another one, so there is some justification to this daydreaming.

I've also done a bit of soul searching on this one - I reckon this could be an absolute peach.

Thing is, how many capable but quite banal Toyotas does one man need?  I've already got a MK1 Avensis which shows no signs of wearing out, and a Granvia for days out.

It'd have to replace something, but the wife's not keen on it being hers!

If anyone wants the number or would like me to have a gander at it, let me know.

We need to persuade Dollywobbler to buy it and replace the RAV4. In an ideal world I’d find room for it, but as it is I’m thinking at least one of my current cars will have to go later this year.

It did have a bid on it on Sunday, but I see that’s now been removed (maybe confusion over the MoT status?). I suspect export or MR2 engine donor is the most likely way it will go…..

Cheap Corsa C in Ellesmere Port.  Anyone?

$_57.JPG

Zero feedback seller who can't take photos of a car to save their life. The Corsa itself seems to be proper barry spec (massive alloys, tiny engine).

Verdict = not with somebody else's bargepole.

When you have just sold your Clio williams and are seriously thinking about a 1.9d n/a auto zx.

I have had both a zx and a 306 n/a dizzler and they both bring a tear of joy to my eye when i think back, but, a big but, would that auto box tip me over the edge??

Well the rumors on FB are that the wheels were stolen and that it's hid a concrete block which was dropped or dumped a on a main road which damaged the front cross member, if you look the front panel is misaligned.

assuming there are not two of these in east anglia it was owned by a barber called Barry in Kings lynn. I will ask him when I see him next.

That doesn't look like a lot of money for a rwd Ford performance car, especially one so rare in this country and not rusty.

Am I missing something?

I know, shut up ! And it's beige.

I don't know much about the values of these but I'd thought £2000 isn't expensive for a Prisma with only 10000 miles and a new mot.

I had a Prisma identical to that (albeit slightly more Pogweaseled and with a clicky CV joint) about 12 years ago.  Paid 80 quid for it out of Aylsham Road auction.  Went like the clappers and handled beautifully.

Also it does say engine needs a service , which could be code for its fucked and the oil light is permanently on.

I'm from Lynn and remember him buying that car - he bought it new and had it sprayed in colours that matched his darts team or something.  It made the local newspaper!

He said he drove for Lotus in the 60s and that was the team colours they used. It's done 433000 miles!

This one is rather expensive, but when are you going to see another in this condition (other than at the Shetland show that Vin attended)?
