I'm loving that hand written Proton badge!. In all seriousness why would you even bother to waste £30 advertising this on Autotrader?, it hasn't even got a MOT. Just fragg the fecker.

Looks like a perfect candidate for a pickup conversion...

I like this, mini yank tank! Buick Skylark €1500 in Austria.

I'd love to get a couple of grand out the bank and just go to Europe and buy something like this, then bring it home. There's loads more american stuff over there and it's generally cheaper.

How do you get the pic to show on an iPad instead of just posting a link?

Interesting to note that Buick is listed as a 3.8.  I knew a chap in Southport who had one when I had my 3.8 Century, his was a 2.8, still a V6 though.  Also, sadly, FWD.

Show me something bigger and RWD and I'll be on the boat with you :)

Edit: and as I'm typing, lo and behold, he does.  That's the 4.1 in the Cadillac though, not known as their best effort.

Mercury Grand Marquis, €2500 in Germany.

Needs the wheels, suspension and a few bits of the interior fixing, and the stripes suck too. But all repairable and it'd be a nice car afterwards.

All Toros are FWD unfortunately, but the black Mercury and Grand Prix are not only RWD but V8, both of them.  Nice... Have to make sure the Mercury vendor still has the original steering wheel though!

I don't think it would be hard to find a steering wheel even if you had to get it from the US. The chain steering wheel would sell easily too.

I'm seriously tempted to go over and get something! It'd be a good trip if nothing else! We'd need someone who can speak the local lingo though. How easily could the Junkman be persuaded to come!?

I've got to say, the Pontiac is looking attractive to me...

I think some pre-trip homework would be involved.  Someone with a command of the lingo would need to correspond with the sellers and make sure the cars are up and running.  Then with the aid of a map, line up three or four that could all be viewed in one easy day.  Going all-out for one would be to court disappointment!  And obviously, carry cash.  Cash talks!
