fuckin' dealers....

 

this sold from private punter for £1500,

 

dealer one tried to get £2400, but it sold eventually for £1800,

 

too dealer two who dragged it across the irish sea, so now all of a sudden its worth £3800????

 

still would though, BUT not at that price, as its nice, but not that nice....

Renault Trafic -1400 is probably just about ok. I took a 1995 2 litre petrol 3.5 tonne Renault Master down into France last summer incluing a few hundered miles on the autoroutes. Fully loaded including with an old Aga cooker onboard it coped surprisingly well. Engine was torquey and it had a five-speed box.

Is it considered bad form on here to like BMW E30s?  Just the chrome bumper ones, mind.

 

This one has the right look - two doors, bottle tops, no satanic sunroof - but it's only a four-banger, and it's more than £4k:

This one looks very smart, great colour and has the legendary smooth six (in early 323i form), but it's got a killjoy gearbox and three too many apertures in the bodyshell.  (Proper yuppies don't carry back seat passengers, yah.)

the silver one's nice. not sure about the green one and I'm definitely unsure about spending 4 grand on one especially a 4 banger.

 

495 mot'd floppy hard top migrane with 44 k on it. 

Downsides? Well, the roof doesn't go down but that may not necessarily be a bad thing.

I really fancy one of these but suspect my mechanical abilities are insufficient to take on a basket case ( which I could afford).

This one seems a bit salty to me, or perhaps I have a totally unrealistic idea of the price of one with an MOT...
