If anyone molests that brown Mini I am phoning Yewtree.....

Straight looking and clean low mileage 405 for £795. Expensive(?), but with good MOT history. Much better value than late Sierras?

That does look nice.

These Carina GTIs tend to appear from time to time for this kind of money. Wonder if they ever sell?

The most beautifully authentic looking Mini I've seen in a long while remains unsold at £2200. Now it's £1800 or best offer. I'd flipping love this. Sadly some 'South Preservation' Chrome enthusiast will probably erase all the good bits.

shame that it has already lost its original vinyl seat, those fitted have come out of an early '80s mayfair.

that ding in the front wing though is class. only thing i would add would be some period original seats and some fancy hubcaps with rim embellisher's like off of a super...

Scrappies seemed to fill up with 407's when they where about 5 years old.

The climate control is problematic, runs hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

Ideal car for a road trip in central Europe in summer. 38C with the heating stuck on. Harrowing.

I think it's four figures to fix because so much has to be dismantled.

Horrible cars.

I was at my mechanics when a guy came in with a 407 and he just told him to fuck off.

Apparently they eat all manner of front suspension parts - ball joints, rod ends, arms, and in typical Peugeot fashion they're an absolute bastard. He said accessing the turbo on a 2.0 HDi was the last straw.

One of my mates wife had a 207 and any auto electrician he went to said they didn't do peugeots. I mean that can't be a good sign.

If ever I find myself in a position where I have spawned a large number of sprogs and need a people carrier it would be one of these! They're awesome!

A friend of my mums had one when I was a teenager, I used to love going for a ride in it!

I've never once bothered to tell the DVLA of an engine swap because it's not worth the aggravation.

I'm happy to supply an engineers report on headed ltd company note paper, detailing the engine size, and engine number, with suitable disclaimers about suitability / installation quality, for any regular shitter. I would probably do it for free if the car were local. I might put some photos in it too.

There is a small hardcore of Allegro lickers who inexplicably have loads of money, so occasionally you see one going for big money, but in fairness they do seem to be genuinely the best cars out there. I doubt anybody would pay that much for a series three auto, and certainly not one that needs pumping up.

Most people still think they're the worst car ever so prices are never gonna be insane. £1000 will still get you a really nice S2 (and yes, I realise that is a lot of money for an Allegro). Only quartic cars and very rare variants are valued much higher. S3s are still pretty cheap.

Must get our one back on the road, it's taken on its 'abandoned car' look again. Great car.
