Am I correct in thinking that the diesel Nissan Serena once held the record for being the slowest accelerating production car available?

I can't believe those Audi A4s are 20 years old.  I'd roll that.  Never realised they did a 2.6, I thought the V6s were all 2.8: seems I wuz rong.

i am correct in the belief that this engine was little more than a american v8 chopped in two, and is the v4 as horrid as the reputation would have it? 

 

don't they also appear in transits, zephyrs and capri's?

By van standards they go okay, but 27s to 60MPH is pretty slow by car standards.

The 2.0 16v petrol goes a lot better and has improved independent rear suspension with a transverse leaf spring.

This 4x4 turbo diesel JDM y0 version is quite appealing.

 

Fantastic on fuel!....I am averaging 52mpg!!!

The Ford V4 as found in the Corsair, British Transits etc is 2/3 of the "Essex" V6. It is quite nice and torquey but it does vibrate despite it's balance shaft. Dead simple to work on. Euro Ford V4 is related to the Cologne V6.
