mmmm, but the Ro80* had a torque converter as well so the clutch only had to be in or out.

It is the automation of a clutch for starting that is so darn difficult.

*and VWs, 911s, Citroens and probably others

But that UmTumTiddeley is a lovely old thing, really would quite like that.  With a proper automatic 'box though.

One should be able to fit a Borked Warmer 35 in a Bumbum Fiddeley, no?

A selection from the "more shite than a cow shed" fife high output 1 day MOT car sales division.

Slightly horrible Infant transportation device. Not worth of mention other than it's 500 quid and a 2.3 pez. I guess this is the 4 pot from the Scorpio rather than the v6 from the Cortina. I wish it was the later though.

400 quid newer shape Almera. I think the SVE is the fancy one. Dull but worthy.

Get the pulses racing with this Laguna II GT 205 Turbo! 550 quid. The interior looks like a tarts handbag you'd have to have been a right fruit cake to order one of these new from the factory but

a 205bhp Laguna II. Would!

Is it a Renault 16?

Odd - I just assumed the Europa would have had the 16TS engine with the wide rocker cover and central spark plugs?

[extreme anorak mode]

But not the examples designated for export to the Federal Colonies. Because emissions.

Thus they had the 1565cc R16 TL engine, which was tweaked to 80 hp with emission control frills and furbelows.

I am 71% certain if you've owned a vehicle since 2008 you would know something wasn't quite right before this happened

Not a difficult repair - but do the 129s have the same welded-in balls as the sport 124s? If so, then £hundreds for the arm instead of a tenner from MB for a balljoint.

I hadn't thought of that, would the Twingo be expensive to insure as it's LHD? We haven't got that far anyway as she's too attached to the Clio we got for her to learn to drive in 6 years ago.

I did a gocompare... Nearly 2 grand.

this 'YANK CAR' is silly cheap for here in Ireland - 'country n western' music is hugely popular here, dispite the huge tradition of 'traditional n folk music n song writing dating back years. here.. (if you excuse U2; which isn't really music anyways) - the halls are still packed to the brim from the lure of Stetson  hat  C+W crooners belting out inane tunes in rural  villages n towns..... Id wager we are only overtaken by the Swedish, per head in this slavish love of 'all things american'...

....strong urges within me for this; space is the issue - Id wear a Stetson n relucatanly linedance  to have this at mine... ...not goin to happen unless I offload my MGB or something!!

Jesus - I love this.

When I was 15 the lass next door had one of these in this colour.  She was lush - and even though I was 4 years younger than her, fat, spotty and clearly masturbating far too much, she'd always give me a smile and a wink.  Very charitable I thought.

Anyway, Cool Story Bro.

What I'm looking for here is someone to buy it, do remedial works, then sell to me at a frankly crippling loss in a few months time.  Not too many months time though, as I'd like "max mot m8".

What a car.  Such period, many 90s. Wow.

How many shite points do you get for breaking a Californian Lotus Europa to put its engine into a Renault 16TL?

for the posts above-

yes a P76 is twice as much fun* as a P38

and isn't the 2.3 litre engine in a galaxy/shorn thing the littlest VW VR6 engine?

I don't think they did any modifications except using an eksorst fannymould made from scaffolding pipes and stating the power in SAE gross hp.

Europa engine rapage would free up space for a Cologne V6 though, as a friend of mine has proven once.

Not sure whether I like the Auction Red paint either.

The original Ember Red was actually quite nice.

three grand is cheap for one of these this tidy.

got it all ready to drive, did drive it for a few days, and out of the blue, totally unexpected, just like that the engine gave up on me, i think the oil pump has gone and the engine seized.

Scunner
