Someone has bid 10 grand on this! Has the world gone mad!?

I'd love a mk1 Escort, not a Mexico but a 1300E or a normal poverty spec one in standard condition but the prices are insane!

Yes but only the 325i sports. You can still pick up a normal or tourer 325i for 1000 - 1500 quid.

It's the same with the 5 series even nice cooking ones go for a couple of grand but the m535i's all seem to be 5 grand plus now.

Thanks Laser Wheels, am going to rename my 2CV, bought unseen via Ebay, 'Ship of Theseus'.

 

It's made up of so many parts from different cars, galvo chassis, replacement engine, different steering wheel, interior, body panels, bumpers etc.

 

I like it. Very much !
