^ That sounds crazy.  It's been untaxed since August 2012, but can't be entirely beshaggered if it got an MOT last November.

You need to do a thread on that (once it's fixed). I really want one.

I thought that mustang engine was bullet proof?

The engine is, I think its the BMW/Rover/Ford Electronics & ECU which is causing the light to come on, but wanting to check the pressure first!

Will start a thread when I get it back

XM on ebay for parts, but has low mileage & MOT!

Hope someone will buy it to save it.

Sounds like he may have had a dugong-like experience with an owners club, or just very bad luck with previous buyers. Or it could simply be one of those bets you have with your gf/wife, to bump-start your sex life.

I'll bet. 'Lovely car son, now blow into the bag for me.'

Nah, don't bother.

You really are a complete moron, aren't you?

Nice use of wooden off cuts to hide the crunchy door bottoms there...

These are probably one of the most underrated cars of the 90's.

In about 91/2 we had a GT demo on loan and I vividly remember following my mate one night and watching the taillights steadily pulling away from me on the A5 dual carriageway through Milton Keynes, I was flat out with nothing left to give in a BMW 635. He reckons it was showing 150 on the speedo.

Clearly at the time you and he were on crack....

Didn't think you could get crack back then, funnily enough he was one of your lot moonlighting as security / back up car driver. I know the BMW was slower, I'm also fully aware that speedos aren't accurate and roads can have downhill gradients. Maybe the speedo was in kmh.

Luckily now I'm a grownup I never go over 50/55 and sit carefully in the middle lane minding my own business whilst all those crackheads fly past on both sides.

Is a dashboard an MOT requirement?

*Could that C pillar be cut out to turn the shell into one of those very basic 3 doors? I liked the sight of them, in grey on tiny steel wheels. Where they a 1.3 pushrod?

those cheapo 3 door sierra's did indeed ship with a 1300 kent ohv engine.

how grim must that have been?

Yes the cosworth pillar can be cut out and a lip welded in to bond the rear side window from a regular 3 door to, a lot of xr4i have given up their defining split window pillar so people could make cossy replicas, the 1.3 sierra had a pinto i have never driven a 1.3 sierra that's one for my bucket list

I have driven one and didn't realise ! It felt just like 1600 on the short journey from auction to home, it was only when the lad who bought it for a 'Cossie rep' was filling in the logbook he noticed it was a 1300. And yes it did end up with a hideous brittle fibreglass bodykit and whale tail and if memory serves 2000e alloys - the ones that look like 4 stud Scorpio wheels- very authentic.

Are we still getting gooey about Mk3 Cavaliers?  This looks quite juicy for £795.

It's only a 1.8i so it's all cry and no wool, but somehow that just adds to the appeal.

92 bhp ? I had our old 1.8 Carb up to an indicated 125 mph on the downhill bits of the M65 whilst England were playing in Euro 2000.
