That was me.

 

To be fair the fact it passed an MOT is believable - underneath is sound with previous welding repairs to a decent standard. Ran well too. Interior and bodywork were absolutely hanging though. He said he would take a grand for it but I've seen a much tidier example for £1250.

 

This eBay one needs a fair few quid throwing at it.
