I suspect that is the work of one of those ebay bidding programmes, because that is 35 bids in the space of 58 seconds...

Posted

Just for a laugh cancel your bid.It will then go back down to £50.00 but still have 36 bids.

Posted

That or the bidder is hoping people will look at the (bidding) pattern and think he must be desperate to win the listing and has bid crazy amounts of money to do so, thus putting others off.

Good point, you'd have to be pissed to want one of those.

Don't we have a resident mr angry who gives people a bollocking for double posting on this thread? He's got some shouting to do.

I don't whether this seller should be applauded or criticised for attempting to reverse the trend. Most people try and Toyotas into exoctic car replicas, he's gone the other way

To be fair, they came from the factory looking like F40 clones. It's no TR40 that's for sure.

I mustard mitt to liking the colour scheme on the Venturi, must be a rare car in the UK.  That said, the full frontal view is pretty gopping for a 90k supercar.

I like little vans but my word a 6 seater Hijet must be a slow and lethal thing when fully laden.

WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY

I imagine it is, in a head-on collision between this and a hospital-issue wheelchair, the Hijet wouldn't stand a chance.  Looks like it's already lost a fight with a few angry shopping trollies.

The Venturi has the same 3.0 PRV Engine that's in my Alpine, plus another turbo and a lot more boost of course. Apparently this was bought for 20K as a box of bits. Not sure how much he spent on it but I can certainly think of a lot nicer cars to spunk 90k on

Blimey that Jag convertible looks awesome! Quadruple-take if I saw that at a show or wherever.

And on the subject of 90s Hondas, they seem to have sold about 10 of these, not sure why as they're apparently quite good and uber dependable if rather boring.  They did do them in bright yellow to solve that last issue.

I think they sell cars (relatively) cheap there because they haven't got a vacuum cleaner or any sort of interior cleaning equipment.

I see Slartibartfarst has switched from building planets to trading in used cars.  He's pretty good at it.

The interiors on these are such nice places to be, that one looks particularly inviting.  I can't help feeling that the saloon, as with most, is not as good looking as the hatchback and it'd be better on steels with original GLX hubcaps.  That starting price might be a little optimistic.

Check this out, I'm imagining a fairly well-to-do rural dweller coming out of his house one morning in about 1992 to find some dopey twat has accidentally crashed this into his gatepost during the night and just fooked off and left it there. Obv the logbook won't be up to date and ANPR, DVLA vehicle checks and the MID have not been invented yet so our man will probably ring the police who will come and half-arsedly take some fingerprints (if he's lucky) then give him the number of a local metal processor.
