Good luck with that sale mate. I am sure that the number of people in the UK who are looking for an old Charade in Valencia will literally be getting up to almost single figures.

This looks bang tidy and for £1,750. It may be a few quid but looks well worth it.

I bought this car in 1981 when I was in my early 20's

In 1994 I sold her to a dear friend of mine. I knew he would look after her.

As is often the case space becomes a major factor in family life and in April 2010 The Bomber had to find a new home so I bought her back.

Currently the oddometer says 47,000 miles but I cannot fully substantiate that.

So you have known the car its whole life yet cant quite remember if its done 47,000 miles or 147,000 miles. :? TBH, who cares.

Still tidy though. and check out these seat covers!

1 owner but 200k, short T&T, damaged bodywork and hood and rust, is it worth £400?

That's a lot of car for the money, replacement roof will cost you about stg 100-120. The 1.8's seem to have more extras fitted as standard too. Will need lots of tlc, but spares are reasonable and lots of help available from a large fanbase. Another couple of hundred would probably get you a tidy mark 1, they are plentiful and this is a great time of year to be looking for one.

I've seen one of those facelift mx5's almost bending in the middle because it was so rotted out. There is something a bit heroic about a car like that racking up 200k.

In other news. ZOINKS!

Relaint based Boat as seen in pictures, will sell will 12 month mot, with daytime only advisory, was built approx 20 yeas ago I beleieve, Nicely built on a reliant chassis and running gear,

I thought they were Lincolnshire sausages. Sorry, that was Teewurst joke ever.

It's more likely the bottom arm snapped and the drive shaft popped out (it happened to me on a passat) unless the drive shaft was flailing around smashing everything in sight.

Hey this is awesome, never seen one like it before.

THE CAR HAD 2 OWNERS IN ITS LIFE .THE 2ND DECIDED TO PUT IT ON SHOW AT HAMPTON COURT FLOWER SHOW AND PUT IT ON A POST VERTICALLY AND GROW FLOWERS OUT OF IT

He's not lying:

Seems to have stood up to that treatment pretty well to be fair.

20 grand still seems a lot for a car that's been used to grow potatoes in.

Am I being ignorant here?

Does the term 'barn find' essentially mean 'a long forgotten about car found untouched for decades in a barn'? Or even a garage or warehouse?

I thought it did.

Check out these "barn find" corkers:
