Why fuck around making is run on motorbike carbs when the red top has so many fuel injection options available ranging from a standard system through to fully programmable ecus with throttle bodies.

I dunno it looks like 2 Chinese food containers stuck to the side of the engine .

Are there clearance issues with the injection manifold?

^^ think they have a sideline selling shite. Started a couple of years ago. Bit like the industrial estate one in dun of firmline. I am tempted every so often by some of their chod but the distance is just far enough to dissuade me from picking up the phone.

No, but Bike carbs on a XE isn't so unusual. It does look a bit more period than FI, Webbers more so, but I don't think that's why people put them on.

I googled it apparently it's to do with clearance issues against the brake master cylinder.  R1 carbs or similar fit no problem if you use twin 45's or similiar you need to fanny around with the carbs or brake master cylinder to get them to fit.

From my ten/fifteen year old memories I can't think of many XEs with Webbers. Maybe that was why.
