To see these makes me sad. I saw one in our local Tesco car park last year - cars having got so big - they look now quite neatly styled, not perfect, but ok, and pretty low on the road and well-planted. I'd say an interesting buy and fun to own. If BL had really invested in these at the time they were a viable European type hatchback - they were somehow hobbled with a pipe-and-slippers image as opposed to the Golf. Should have been a Maxi GT (the 1300GT was really quite cool) and at some point a gentle restyle. Hope someone here buys this.

I've sent an email about that De Tomaso a few pages back but with it being e-mail only I expect I'll be getting asked for a sizeable deposit to secure the car or even offered delivery for a few euros more.

It's 11 tonnes, but you can defo* drive this on a moped licence without doing your CBT, as my mate's dad told me. Otherwise just drive it between 9.50pm and 10.05pm as everyone know all the coppers have a shift change at 10.00 so you'll never get pulled. Oh, and put CDs in the window to deflect speed camera rays.
