I've also managed to find a picture of a different 'naked' Mk12 with the body stripped off...

Right, well that's all other activities for Wednesday cancelled so I can sit here and hammer F5 8)

Good darts!

I think my biggest worry right now - despite massive chunks of body work missing ;-), is that box of electrics in the cabin where all the main controls are. If that is totally ruined - I'm going to be struggling to do anything.

Hell - I don't even know if these are 12v - assume so!

dont stress about box of elecs...cant be much to it , least of your worries can get universal looms /fusboxes easy

It's certainly a bit....rustic...makes the model 70 look like rocket science.

Yes.

Slightly disapoint that I won't get to see this beast in the plastic, but happy that it's all going ahead.

If I get to talk to him, I will ask.

Are they aware it's likely to be a little* tender so they'll need to be sensible strapping it down.

I'll give him a call tomorrow to chat him through it. But the yard seem ok, so I hope it will be alright.

Egg

Are we on stand down for Stowmarket storage ?

Yes I think so, unless things go spectacularly wrong.

I'd like to thank you again for the kind offer.

A North Kent spannering session will be on the cards soon then.  Happy to offer my advanced level mechanical skillz as always.

most certainly 6v

does anyone have a mk12 workshop manual/PDF or such?

I imagine that would be a very helpful for egg to have when it comes to figuring out all the bits :)

(especially as the Model 70 one I have has a wiring diagram, so I would hope the Mk12 workshop manual would have something too :) )

More prep for its arrival. The Mondeo has been SORN for 46 days. I wanted to leave it there longer, but needs must...the garage should be needed for an Invacar..

So have a cold start vid. Never in doubt.

Then the Mazda goes in until Weds. On Weds I'll get a train to Whitstable, walk up to the lock up, remove the Mazda, and hopefully welcome an Invacar!

Glad to have the base back in service though

What were the faintly terrifying metallic bangs?

Me forgetting I'd chocked the wheels :-/

As long as nothing's broken! I'd never* do a thing like that.

(Once drove through a gate in a hydraulic Citroën without waiting for it to rise. Might have taken out the wooden chock that holds the gates in place when they're shut).

Thanks (and to Jo).

I need to see a auto electrician in Sittingbourne for a list of several small jobs on my Mondeo, when that happens I'll take some photos of whatever wiring mess is on the Invacar!

*grabs pop corn*

For those who dont follow my Invacar thread or have not seen my posts with the Mk12 brochure

here it is

theres detailed weight and dimension information that should help hopefully when it comes to figuring out how to transport it :)

Mmm is it not a bit cruel to put in a manually operated screen washer?
